It was such a beautiful afternoon! You would be hard pressed to find a city with such amazing views, and so close to home!

I did some slow yoga tonight. I needed to work out the stiff joints. My hands have been getting tired and stiff with all the painting.
Yay for yoga!

I have challenged myself to do yoga everyday for one year and thought I'd blog about it. I have been practicing yoga on and off and back and forth for about 9 years and I have decided that it is time for me to really delve in and figure out what it's all about, if it is something I want to make part of my life. I also thought this might put some discipline in to my day and be a fun way to express my thoughts and share some pictures that may or may not have anything directly to do with yoga.

  1. Hi! I started my yoga journey in earnest this year. I did it regularly once a week last year but made a big commitment this year to go 4 or 5 times per week (to a 90 min class). LOVING IT. I’m just wondering how you’ve managed to practice every day? Do you do a mix of classes and home practice? How long do you practice for at home, and do you use a DVD? How did you manage to motivate yourself when there were times you just didn’t feel like practicing? So many questions! šŸ™‚

    • Good morning!
      Good work getting to a 90 minute class 4 days a week!
      This past fall and winter I found it quite a lot easier
      to get to the studio most days but now that is so nice out and we are busy getting ready to move and working full time I just can’t make it as often. My home practice has vastly improved and become something I look forward to now, that was the result I was hoping for. Yoga can happen anywhere at anytime, this is something I have rectyearned and try to embrace. As far as motivation…that’s sort of why I decided to make a blog, it holds me accountable.
      When I practice at home I try to draw from classes I’ve had and listen to what my body and mind needs, it’s not the same intensity generally but still feels great!

      • Thanks for your response. It’s winter here at the moment, and unprecedentedly rainy here in Sydney so I am finding yoga DELICIOUS and cosy during that sort of weather! Mmmmm blankets. Then I go to a nearby bookshop/cafe in Bondi afterwards, stash my wet umbrella by the cafe door, and have a cup of tea. Ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
