So I went to Traditional Hot expecting it to be a 90 minute class but it starts with Rick (the teacher) saying something about ‘for the next 75 minutes’. I was surprised by this and then was a little distracted by the time for the rest of class. But I did pretty good at not letting it get to me and staying in the moment. Turned out to be a great class. The quote of the class was this…
“Sit-ups don’t count unless they hurt.”
Happy May Day! Spring is here or at least very near…
I’ve heard that twists are good for detoxing and that spring time is a good time for detoxing therefor spring is a good time for twisting.
This is a link to a great article that gets into the whys and hows of yoga and detoxing. http://life.gaiam.com/article/yoga-detox
This led me to a fun blog that has a great page of different twists how to’s. http://www.yogaartandscience.com/poses/twist/twist.html
Detoxing also has everything to do with what goes into the body. I’ve been getting into the Isagenix 30 day Cleanse. Which surprised me but in a good way! If you like, you can learn more here or ask me. http://www.emconway.isagenix.com
