Day two hundred and seventy seven

So I went to Traditional Hot expecting it to be a 90 minute class but it starts with Rick (the teacher) saying something about ‘for the next 75 minutes’. I was surprised by this and then was a little distracted by the time for the rest of class. But I did pretty good at not letting it get to me and staying in the moment. Turned out to be a great class. The quote of the class was this…
“Sit-ups don’t count unless they hurt.”
-Mohamed Ali
From Rick.

Happy May Day! Spring is here or at least very near…
I’ve heard that twists are good for detoxing and that spring time is a good time for detoxing therefor spring is a good time for twisting.
This is a link to a great article that gets into the whys and hows of yoga and detoxing.
This led me to a fun blog that has a great page of different twists how to’s.
Detoxing also has everything to do with what goes into the body. I’ve been getting into the Isagenix 30 day Cleanse. Which surprised me but in a good way! If you like, you can learn more here or ask me.

Check these out and twist away!

I have challenged myself to do yoga everyday for one year and thought I'd blog about it. I have been practicing yoga on and off and back and forth for about 9 years and I have decided that it is time for me to really delve in and figure out what it's all about, if it is something I want to make part of my life. I also thought this might put some discipline in to my day and be a fun way to express my thoughts and share some pictures that may or may not have anything directly to do with yoga.
