Day two hundred and thirty three

So it’s beginning to looook like spring what with all the blue sky, melty midday roads and the equinox being tomorrow. It does not yet feeeel like spring! There is a brisk north breeze and temps down in the single digits at night. Personally I’m hoping for one or two more good snows followed by real spring.

Back to Bikram! I know that previously I’ve said that one Bikram a week is not enough… Well sometimes it’ll just have to be. I went tonight and last Tuesday. One a week is better than none and Tuesday seems to be an easy one to get to. I had a very good class. I’m still stiff from the weekend ski but not in pain. The first round of triangle was a reminder that maybe I’m still recovering a bit.
The class was asked if anyone would like to come to a Bikram class Friday morning at 6:30 am. This is a class of 35 Officers who have never been to any yoga class ever. They want to have a few people attend the class who have been to some so all these newbies have a go-by… I have volunteered. I think it will be interesting to be in a room almost completely consisting of brand new yogis. It’s also kinda funny because I was just telling Rory how I would like an early morning Bikram class…careful what you ask for!

I have challenged myself to do yoga everyday for one year and thought I'd blog about it. I have been practicing yoga on and off and back and forth for about 9 years and I have decided that it is time for me to really delve in and figure out what it's all about, if it is something I want to make part of my life. I also thought this might put some discipline in to my day and be a fun way to express my thoughts and share some pictures that may or may not have anything directly to do with yoga.
