I practiced some of that yoga at home tonight. I began with some breathing, by simply sitting on a block with my hands on my lap, eyes closes and inhaled and exhaled. Nothing fancy. Try it. Then I did some sort of slow motion sun salutations. My balancing pose was Bikram style tree, this means that the foot is held in front of the hip crease and not pressed into the inner thigh. Tree pose in a room lit by candle light is much trickier than in a bright room with mirrors…its good practice though. I even managed to end with some savasana.
I have a bad habit of sometimes being on my phone while on my mat…I was done with practice and about to grab my phone prior to really ending and getting up off my mat when I was like ‘nooooooo!’. First close out your practice, put the mat away and then you can use it. No phone on mat. Once I got up I didn’t even need or want it… It’s just a habit…one that can be changed.
