I had such a nice home practice this evening. After a little Nordic style ski it felt extra good to stretch out my hip flexers a bit. I even started with some pranayama. I sat on a block and inhaled for four seconds, held my breath for four seconds, exhaled for four seconds, and then held my breath out for four seconds. I did this for several rounds, maybe 2.5 minutes worth. It is not easy and feels sort of odd but good at the same time.
I am trying to classic ski on a regular basis in order to be a little ready for the 25K next month. I must also be sure to take care of my hips, they can get sore and tight with all the back and forth skiing action.
