Day one hundred and sixty five

Yoga at home again. I’ve been liking my home practice this week. It’s such a different pace than the busy studio. I started with Tadasana, Samasthiti or Mountain Pose. This pose is the base or starting pose for many or maybe even all other standing poses. It is also a bit sneaky. It looks easy and as if there is not much going on but really it can become complicated when you really focus on executing it correctly and to its fullest expression. It’s a wonderful pose and one that can be practiced throughout the day: in line for a coffee, while pumping gas, riding in an elevator or any other time where you have a moment of stillness within your busy day. I know that I have already written about this pose in a previous post but it just shows that it’s a pose worth some extra thoughts.
Namaste bitches!

I have challenged myself to do yoga everyday for one year and thought I'd blog about it. I have been practicing yoga on and off and back and forth for about 9 years and I have decided that it is time for me to really delve in and figure out what it's all about, if it is something I want to make part of my life. I also thought this might put some discipline in to my day and be a fun way to express my thoughts and share some pictures that may or may not have anything directly to do with yoga.

  1. I’m really excited to have come across your blog! I’m doing yoga every day for a year too – plus 11 other habits, starting each month and piling them ontop of one another – but yes, starting with yoga. Every day. so far I’m 9 for 9! I think your blog will help to keep me motivated 🙂
