Wednesday. Pre-turkey day! I got to go to a class! The teacher started by saying she felt like doing a vigorous class and it was. The sun salutations had us moving and I broke a sweat.
So many Chaturanga Dandasanas!
Also known as Four Limbed Staff Pose…I had know it as that.
Wikipedia says…
In Caturaṅga Daṇḍāsana the hands and feet are on the floor, supporting the body, which is parallel to and lowered toward, but not touching, the floor. It looks much like a pushup, but with the hands quite low (just above the pelvis), and the elbows kept in along the sides of the body.
When performed correctly, it can help prepare the body for arm balance asanas by strengthening important muscles and promoting good form.

This pose is hard and I feel that it is a place in the sun salutation series that you can easily hurt yourself it time isn’t taken to learn the pose and execute it correctly.

I have challenged myself to do yoga everyday for one year and thought I'd blog about it.
