Finally had a class that I wasn’t totally distracted about everyday life in. Even though thoughts came in I was able to let them go and not fixate on them. Maybe it helped that the class was an hour Hotflow. I didn’t know what pose was next so I couldn’t anticipate the next move. It was also fast paced so there was less time being still to think about packing and traveling and how I won’t be in the studio for almost two weeks! It was an awesome class and it kicked my ass! I’ve recovered and feel pretty great.
It turned into a foggy afternoon here near the coast. This suited me fine because I had some inside chores and wanted to drink coffee and read.
I wanted to look into what yoga is and where it comes from. There are so many different kinds of classes out there and I know there are different branches of yoga. In my searching I found a journal that I was keeping a couple of winters ago while attending a one credit yoga class at UAA. The teacher was very good. This notebook is a mix of the material handed out by the teacher, stuff I remembered from class and notes I took from reading parts of the book ‘Yoga for Wellness’.
