Reasons I didn’t go to class and instead did living room floor yoga:
1. My hips were still wicked sore from the past two yoga sessions.
2. The first presidential debate was on during both of the classes that I would have liked to attend.
3. I was hungry.
4. My finger nails needed painting…
The third pose in the Bikram series is Awkward Pose ( Utkatasana )
This pose has gotten easier and easier for me, it isnt an easy thing to do especially in such a hot room but compared to other poses it’s easier. It’s all relative.
Bikram’s site says the benefits are the following.
Awkward Pose will tone and shape your legs.
It heals chronically cold feet.
It also helps relieve rheumatism and arthritis in the legs, and helps to cure slipped discs and other problems in the lower spine.
