Day twenty eight

That red island there…that is where I am headed tomorrow! Specifically the very northeast cape. I’ll only be gone for ten days but this blog could prove problematic. Internet connection up there in camp is in and out…So that could mean a marathon blog posting session on my return. Why am I going to such a far off land? Oh, I guess I neglected to say that I am a geologist and sometimes my work allows me to travel to distant lands. In my very short career I have been to that Island, Seward, AK and New Mexico for work…but only time will tell where else I shall journey!

I did living room yoga for a solid half an hour today. It was lovely. If you can manage to steal half an hour for yourself to breath and move your body in different ways then please do. Even just 10-15 minutes is so worth it. I also have a trick for savasana. I find that it is difficult to stay in the pose when at home and there is no one to tell me when to get up. I feel like if I let myself relax I might just pass out for the rest of the evening so I since I usually like to listen to music while doing yoga when it is time for savasana I start at the beginning of a song and get up at the end. That way I know I’ll get to lie there for 2.5 maybe 5 minutes. That is my tip of the day, enjoy.

I have challenged myself to do yoga everyday for one year and thought I'd blog about it. I have been practicing yoga on and off and back and forth for about 9 years and I have decided that it is time for me to really delve in and figure out what it's all about, if it is something I want to make part of my life. I also thought this might put some discipline in to my day and be a fun way to express my thoughts and share some pictures that may or may not have anything directly to do with yoga.
